Job Opening: Chinese Language QA & Research Associate

(STEM Background Required | Full-time | Hong Kong)

About Us

We are an education technology company developing innovative tools to help children read independently and build lifelong learning habits. Our flagship app supports children in reading illustrated books without needing constant parental guidance, encouraging focus on the physical book while reducing unnecessary screen time.

Our mission is to create technology that empowers children’s education and mental well-being. If you want to combine sales expertise with a role that has real social impact, this is an opportunity to be part of something meaningful.

Our Team & Culture

We are a small, diverse, supportive, and collaborative team where every voice matters. With a flat structure and no heavy hierarchy, you’ll have direct impact on decisions and plenty of opportunities to share ideas.

We believe in learning by doing, supporting one another, and growing together in a fast-paced but friendly startup environment.

And yes — our office has a snack bar to keep you fueled while working on exciting challenges!

The Role

We are seeking a Chinese Language QA & Research Associate who can contribute across multiple areas of our project. You will play a key role in quality assurance of bilingual learning materials (Chinese and English) while also assisting in research, content evaluation, and product development tasks.

As part of a small but ambitious team, you’ll work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where adaptability and initiative are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct QA checks on children’s language-learning and reading content in Chinese and English, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and cultural relevance.

  • Review translations and educational content in simplified and traditional Chinese (fluency in Cantonese is a strong plus).

  • Support research, project documentation, and product development activities.

  • Collaborate with the team to give feedback, identify gaps, and improve learning materials and app features.

  • Learn and take on new skills as needed in a dynamic startup setting.

What You’ll Gain

  • Hands-on startup experience — exposure to product development from idea to execution.

  • Opportunities to contribute beyond your role (QA, research, strategy, product design).

  • A culture that values initiative, creativity, and continuous learning.

  • A chance to impact children’s education and mental well-being through meaningful work.

Requirements

  • Legally permitted to work in Hong Kong during the engagement period.

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s / Doctoral degree in a STEM-related discipline from a recognized local or non-local institution.

  • Strong proficiency in Chinese (written and spoken) and English.

  • Cantonese fluency is a plus.

  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.

  • Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn across multiple domains.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Background or interest in linguistics, education, or early childhood learning.

  • Familiarity with QA tools, app testing, or content management systems.

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Compensation

  • HK$20,000 per month (Bachelor’s degree)

  • HK$23,000 per month (Master’s degree)

  • HK$35,000 per month (Doctoral degree)

Location

Our office is located between Central and Sheung Wan, a vibrant spot with plenty of food, coffee, and easy transport links.
